'Suicide Squad' Director David Ayer Shares New Cast Photo

The Suicide Squad team looks ready for action in a new photo shared by director David Ayer on his Twitter on Monday (January 11).

The cast, which includes Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman, Karen Fukuhara and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, hold up their weapons as they get ready for battle.

David simply captioned the image, “#skwad.”

“We all need good guys and everything – yay, good guys – but at the end of the day, they’re kinda boring. They’re always going to do the right thing. When you’re dealing with the baddies, it’s easy to get ahead of the audience and invert expectations,” David told USA Today, which also debuted the new image.

Suicide Squad is set to hit theaters on August 5th.
