J.K. Rowling Mourns Alan Rickman: 'We Have All Lost a Great Talent'

J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series, has taken to Twitter to mourn Alan Rickman on Thursday (January 14) after news of his death spread.
“There are no words to express how shocked and devastated I am to hear of Alan Rickman’s death. He was a magnificent actor & a wonderful man,” J.K. wrote. “My thoughts are with Rima and the rest of Alan’s family. We have all lost a great talent. They have lost part of their hearts.”
Alan, who died from cancer at age 69, starred as Severus Snape in all of the Harry Potter movies.
