Hayden Panettiere Opens Up About Life After Postpartum Depression Treatment

Hayden Panettiere was in attendance at the 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday (January 17), and on the red carpet, she opened up about her battle with postpartum depression.

“It feels different for me because of things that I’ve gone through recently, over the last year,” the 26-year-old Nashville star told People about walking a red carpet after her treatment. “I’ve really gone, ‘You know what, I’ve been in this industry for so long, forget it!’ I’ve been hiding myself. Just putting out the smiling face, showing people this, and allowing that veil to come down – it’s like a weight off my shoulders.”

Hayden sought treatment for postpartum back in October and she just recently returned to the Nashville set.
