Serayah Says Her 'Empire' Character Was Based Off of Beyonce
Serayah wows in a bright orange dress while leaving Music Choice in New York City on Thursday (March 24).
The day after, the 20-year-old Empire actress and singer swung by the Today show to chat up the hit show and her solo music.
“My character is based on so many R&B divas and pop star divas,” Serayah shared when discussing Tiana. “The main people that they wanted us to portray, especially on stage, was Jay Z and Beyonce.”
She added, “First season, ‘Keep It Movin’ was our Jay Z and Beyonce moment.”
