Prince Hospitalized After Plane Makes Emergency Landing

Prince was reportedly rushed to the hospital after his plane made an emergency landing on Friday morning (April 15) in Illinois.

The 57-year-old legendary singer had performed in Atlanta the night before and was only in the air for a short time before the private plane made an unscheduled landing just after 1:00am.

Prince‘s plane landed at Quad City International Airport in Moline, Ill. and an ambulance took him to a nearby hospital. While one source told TMZ that he is currently in the hospital and “not doing well,” another source said everything is okay and he has already been released.

It is not known what Prince‘s medical emergency was at this time.

UPDATE: A rep for the singer says he has been battling the flu for weeks and felt worse than before after getting on the plane, so the emergency landing was made. He was released from the hospital three hours after being admitted and is now back home.
