Misty Copeland Set to Join Disney's 'Nutcracker' Movie

Misty Copeland has been cast in Disney’s upcoming film The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, based on the classic Christmas tale!

The 33-year-old ballet star took to her Instagram to make the exciting announcement.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of this amazing project with Disney and the wonderful Lasse Hallstrom #TheNutcracker #MoreToCome,” Misty wrote.

The film will be based on E.T.A. Hoffman‘s Christmas Eve tale about a young girl who finds a Nutcracker doll with her family’s presents and is given the responsibility to take care it. At night, the Nutcracker comes to life, along with an evil Mouse King who introduce the little girl to the magical world of toys.
