Aziz Ansari Runs Off Stage During Emmys Acceptance Speech
Aziz Ansari tries to get in a word during his acceptance speech at the 2016 Emmy Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (September 18) in Los Angeles.
The 33-year-old actor won the award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for writing an episode of his Netflix series Master of None.
Aziz‘s co-writer Alan Yang started off the speech and after he was finished, the music came on and cut off the actor’s big moment.
After trying to get in a word, Aziz ran off the stage and back into his seat. Later while presenting an award, he said he just wanted to thank his parents for inspiring the episode.
