Julia Roberts Set to Star in Drama About PTA Mom Framed For Drug Possession

Julia Roberts has signed on to star in and produce a feature film about a PTA mom framed for drug possession, according to Deadline.

The 48-year-old actress will take the lead role as Kelli Peters in the film based on the true story chronicled in “‘I’ll Get You!’ Drugs, Lies, and the Terrorizing of a PTA Mom.”

The story follows Kelli, a PTA president and volunteer at her daughter’s elementary school in Southern California, who faces the wrath of another parent who is set to ruin her life.

At one point, Kelli is even framed for drug possession but after a 5-year-ordeal in court she eventually won a $5.7 million-dollar civil judgment against the other parent.
