Lupita Nyong’o Says ‘Queen of Katwe’ Is ‘Uplifting, Heartwarming, & Often Funny’!

Lupita Nyong’o happily waves to photographers while making her way inside the Ed Sullivan Theater to make an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday (September 28) in New York City.

The 33-year-old actress talked about initially declining an invitation to the opening of the National Museum of African American History and Culture, where her wardrobe from 12 Years a Slave is on display, and promoted her latest film Queen of Katwe.

“It’s really uplifting, heartwarming, and often funny,” Lupita expressed. Stephen agreed, adding, “I’m not going to give away the ending, but the ending is hopeful.”
