Patrick Schwarzenegger checks his phone messages while heading back to his car on Thursday (September 29) in Brentwood, Calif.

The 23-year-old actor was joined that afternoon by his girlfriend Abby Champion as he grabbed an acai bowl and she grabbed an iced coffee.
