Warren Beatty Calls His Transgender Son Stephen His Hero

Warren Beatty is opening up about his transgender son Stephen, who he calls his “hero.”

The 24-year-old LGBT activist transitioned at the age of 14 and changed his name from Kathlyn Elizabeth to Stephen Ira.

“He’s a revolutionary, a genius, and my hero, as are all my children,” Warren, 79, said in a new interview with Vanity Fair.

Warren and his wife Annette Bening have four kids together – Stephen, Benjamin, 22, Isabel, 19, and Ella, 16.
