The Bachelor: Corinne’s Mom Defends Her ‘Wonderful’ Daughter

It’s no secret that Internet has decided this season’s villain on The Bachelor is Corinne Olympios.

She’s gotten a lot of flack for some of her actions on the show, including taking off her top for Nick Viall.

Now her mother is speaking out in her defense.

“Corinne is a very smart, bright, wonderful girl who is larger than life — kind of like me — and so I was just saying things to protect her when they were calling her a ‘slut’ and a ‘whore,’ because she’s not,” Peri told ET.

“The show is great and enhanced her personality,” Peri added. “So, you know, that’s why people were saying what they were saying when they were saying she’s a little promiscuous. As a mother, I’m going to protect my daughter.”

The Bachelor airs Mondays @ 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
