Floriana Lima Steps Down as ‘Supergirl’ Series Regular
Floriana Lima is stepping down from her series regular role on Supergirl, according to TVLine.
The 36-year-old actress, who portrays Detective Maggie Sawyer, become a reoccurring star on the series’ second season.
Floriana is reportedly looking to pursue other opportunities in the future.
“We adore Floriana and have loved working with her to tell this inspiring story. Although she’s not available to us as a series regular next season, as she’s looking to pursue other opportunities, we’re happy she’ll be returning for multiple episodes in Season 3,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said in a statement.
Floriana added on Twitter, “While this role was only meant for one season, I’m excited to appear in season 3, as we see the #Supergirl story unfold #Sanvers #NotOverYet.”
