Chrissy Teigen Offers Different Vantage Point on Logan Paul's Controversial Video

Logan Paul published a controversial video where he visited the “Japanese Suicide Forest,” a forest at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan, and found a dead man’s body hanging.
He received a ton of backlash from celebrities and social media users, and now, Chrissy Teigen has taken to Twitter to try and open up a conversation.
It started when Aaron Paul wrote to Logan, “How dare you! You disgust me. I can’t believe that so many young people look up to you. So sad. Hopefully this latest video woke them up. You are pure trash. Plain and simple. Suicide is not a joke. Go rot in hell,” to which Chrissy responded, “You’re like…the nicest person on the planet, too. I can feel the passion here, Aaron!”
When people came at Chrissy for thinking she was being super sarcastic, she responded, “First of all, reread my comment. Second of all, telling people to watch the video to say how bad it is that he posted the video is absolutely counter productive and absurd.”
She continued, “Re: Logan Paul, something I always think about is when people make…ethical mistakes, as in, not-illegal, should we really be trying I ruin their lives and end their careers or accept the apology, personally make a choice to stop watching, and move on.”

An example I have is with a certain clothing company. Years ago the designers said things i personally found horrible about IVF children. I made the choice to simply…never wear or purchase again instead of trying to “end them”

Oh I’m not saying what he did wasn’t sick and stupid and his videos aren’t or haven’t been stupid, I’m saying…a lot of you don’t know what it’s like to have a campaign to end your entire being https://t.co/6s5OSZCZnU

I def understand. I really am just having a convo here and I don’t have an entire history on the dude. https://t.co/zOzMpIFfeX

You’re right. No conversations allowed. Let’s end him.

I think I’m talking to the wrong audience here. Not many of you guys will ever understand the campaign to END YOU…some of you are the enders and there is no conversation allowed (which I now clearly see) – point taken back to black mirror

You are completely allowed to hate him. I’m not saying you can’t. But how long can we try to ruin somebody for?
— christine teigen (@chrissyteigen) January 2, 2018
I can’t believe I even just wrote this dude’s name. I’m 32.

With 9.5 million followers, I can very clearly see many people who want him ruined. We have very different vantage points.
— christine teigen (@chrissyteigen) January 2, 2018
And that’s fine. I don’t expect everyone to get it. I was just genuinely curious about other people’s rationale and thoughts.

Here we go. Guys, seriously? https://t.co/RbrZXsx34u
