Issa Rae's 'Insecure' Takes Top Honors at Guild of Music Supervisor Awards 2018!
Issa Rae is all smiles as she strikes a pose on the red carpet while attending the 2018 Guild of Music Supervisors Awards held at The Theatre at the Ace Hotel on Thursday (February 8) in Los Angeles.
The 33-year-old Insecure actress-creator was joined by Darren Criss, This Is Us‘ Chrissy Metz, Bryan Greenberg, Aloe Blacc, Diane Warren and songwriter Benj Pasek at the event celebrating the creatives behind the craft of music supervision for the mutual benefit of all media stakeholders in film television, and more.
Kier Lehman won Best Music Supervision in a Television Comedy or Musical for “Insecure (Season 2),” and also took top honors in the Television Limited Series or Movie category and also won Best Song/Recording created for Television for “Quicksand,” performed by SZA for “Insecure: Episode 208 ‘Hella Perspective’.”
Julianne Jordan and Julia Michels won the big feature film award for Pitch Perfect 3.
