Wanda Sykes Is Leaving ‘Roseanne’ After Star’s Racist Tweet
Wanda Sykes, who is listed as a consulting producer on ABC’s Roseanne revival, has announced she will not be returning to the show.
News that Wanda is leaving the show comes hours after the show’s star, Roseanne Barr, posted a racially charged tweet aimed at Valerie Jarrett before deleting and apologizing.
“I will not be returning to @RoseanneOnABC,” Wanda tweeted moments ago, correcting a story calling her the head writer. “Fake News…I was never the head writer. I was a ‘Consulting Producer.'”
Roseanne was renewed for another season back in March.
