Halsey Opens Up About Growing Up in New Jersey & G-Eazy Split During Home State Stop on Tour

Halsey is opening up in her home state of New Jersey.

The 23-year-old “Bad At Love” superstar performed her Hopeless Fountain Kingdom Tour at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa on Saturday night (July 14) in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

During her performance, Halsey reminisced about growing up in New Jersey. She explained that she would go to the same malls, Shop Rites and Wawas as everyone in the crowd, smoking cigarettes and thinking “What the f–k am I going to do with my life?” She then joked that she’s back in New Jersey, still thinking the same thing.

“I love New Jersey. It’s like having a little brother and sister. You can make fun of it all you want, but once someone does, you’re like, ‘What the f–k did you say?!’” she said.

During the night, Halsey performed tracks like “Eyes Closed,” “Colors,” “Roman Holiday” and “Hurricane.”

She also mentioned being badly hurt by someone, alluding to her recent split with G-Eazy, before launching into “Sorry.”

“I learned recently it’s okay to be alone! Being alone is enough. The second lesson I learned is don’t sleep with your ex,” she told the crowd.

Following her show at The Event Center, Halsey performed at Premier Nightclub at Borgata. She called out to all the single people in the crowd and said someone has to go home with someone — but she’s not, which segued into her hit “Bad at Love.”
