Kip Pardue Accused of Sexual Misconduct by Co-Star Sarah Scott

Kip Pardue, best known for films like Remember the Titans and The Rules of Attraction, has been accused of sexual misconduct by Sarah Scott, his co-star on the television pilot Mogulettes.

Sarah says that she was filming a post-coital scene with Kip and she was lying under the covers in boy shorts and nipple covers. He became aroused and took her hand and put it on his groin. Sarah says that after they filmed the scene, Kip called her into his dressing room and he masturbated in front of her.

“I literally froze,” Sarah told the Los Angeles Times. “I said, ‘What are you doing?’”

Sarah says Kip told her, “This isn’t a #MeToo thing. I’m not your employer. It’s not like I can fire you.” While leaving the set, Sarah says she asked Kip why he masturbated in front of her and she says he responded by saying she was “just so hot.”

The incident happened this past May, months after the launch of Time’s Up and the #MeToo movement.

Kip released a statement apologizing for placing Sarah‘s hand on his penis, but he denied everything else that allegedly happened after the scene was finished.

“I clearly misread the situation during a sex scene on set and have apologized to Sarah,” Kip said in the statement. “I never intended to offend her in any way and deeply regret my actions and have learned from my behavior.”

In her article with The Times, Sarah recounts her experience of reporting the misconduct and what she went through while dealing with SAG-AFTRA and The Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund.

“I am disappointed that Kip has chosen to hide behind his actions,” she says. “Speaking out about this has been extraordinarily difficult for me, and now I understand why so many people don’t. My goal remains the same — my wish is for Kip to take full responsibility for all of his actions.”
