Ruth Bader Ginsburg Returns Home Following Lung Surgery

Ruth Bader Ginsburg is back at home, five days after her lung surgery.

The 85-year-old Supreme Court Justice underwent a procedure to remove two nodules from her left lung, which were found after she fractured three ribs in November.

Ruth “was discharged from the hospital yesterday and is recuperating at home,” a court spokeswoman told People in a statement.

The court rep previously said that both nodules removed were found to be “malignant on initial pathology evaluation” and “there was no evidence of any remaining disease.”

Ruth has previously beat cancer twice – colorectal cancer in 1999 and pancreatic cancer in 2009.
