Tessa Thompson Vows to Work with More Female Directors at Sundance Film Festival 2019
Tessa Thompson made an important vow at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival.
While speaking at the Sundance Institute Art + Inclusion event on Friday night (January 25), the 35-year-old actress vowed to start with working more female directors in the near future.

“Because only 4% of the top 100 studio films over the last DECADE have been directed by women, #TIMESUP is initiating a challenge, the 4% challenge, and I intend to take it: I commit to working with a female director in the next 18 months,” Tessa said.
The following day, Terry Crews and Kendrick Sampson teamed up with the founder of the #MeToo movement Tarana Burke to speak during the HBO #MeToo Panel discussion.
FYI: Kendrick is wearing Kenneth Cole boots.
