Will Smith Will Not Return for ‘Suicide Squad’ Sequel

Will Smith is not going to be in the upcoming Suicide Squad sequel.

The 50-year-old actor, who played Deadshot in the original movie, will not return for the upcoming sequel, Variety reported on Wednesday evening (February 27).

According to the report, scheduling was “the ultimate factor…the decision was made on amicable terms between both sides with no hard feelings.”

Margot Robbie and Jared Leto are among the names still rumored to return.

James Gunn plans to start production on the movie this fall, which is set for a release date of August 6, 2021.
