Bebe Rexha Reveals She Auditioned for Jennifer Lopez's 'Hustlers' Film

Bebe Rexha is opening up about her audition for Hustlers.

The upcoming film, due out in 2020, is currently filming in New York City and stars Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu, Cardi B, Julia Stiles and Lili Reinhart.

In the movie, inspired by the viral New York Magazine article, a crew of savvy former strip club employees band together to turn the tables on their Wall Street clients.

Bebe revealed during a Beats 1 interview that she auditioned for a part in the movie as well (“a Russian girl from New York,” she described the part), but did not get the role.

“They hit me up and I was like, ‘okay, yeah, sure.’ So I got an acting coach. She’s awesome and she was teaching me how to act and stuff. It was really hard though because you have to be serious,” she said.

“My mom was not happy about it,” she also said of the role of playing a former stripper.
