Danai Gurira Explains Her Real-Life ‘Walking Dead’ Michonne Moment to Fend Off Wild Coyote – Watch Here!
Danai Gurira made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live as part of Avengers week on Tuesday (April 9) and explained a real-life moment that made her feel like her The Walking Dead character, Michonne.
The 41-year-old actress explained that she encountered a coyote recently in California while walking her dog late at night in her neighborhood, so she ran into her house with her “heart pounding” and started looking up ways to defend herself.
Danai revealed that she armed herself with one of her Michonne practice swords (made from wood or hard plastic) to stay alert in case: “I know how to use this thing,” she told Kimmel. “Seven years, I know how to use it. I can knock out a coyote with one of these.”
Danai also talked about Avengers: Endgame, doing press with the whole cast, and dishes about the spoilers and rumors.
