Bachelorette’s Jed Explains Why He Told Hannah He Came on the Show to Further His Music Career

Jed Wyatt, one of the frontrunners to win The Bachelorette, admitted to Hannah Brown that he came on the show to further his music career in a recent episode.

“When I signed up for the show, I was skeptical… my first thought was, ‘This is a huge platform,'” Jed confessed to her. “I came in with that mindset.”

Jed later went on Instagram to explain to fans why he said “This is a huge platform” to Hannah.

“Hannah said she wanted us to be open and honest and I didn’t want to go another day without her knowing the truth,” the 25-year-old singer posted on his Instagram Story. “I knew some people would take it the wrong way but what mattered to me was being honest so we could focus on our relationship.”

A new episode of The Bachelorette airs tonight on ABC.
