Zosia Mamet Reveals She Was Unaware of Original 'Tales of the City'

Zosia Mamet hit Seth Meyers couch on Late Night on Monday (June 10) and opened up about starring in the revival of Tales of the City!

The brand new Netflix series is based off Armistead Maupin‘s book series that spawned a television show in 1993, and Netflix is giving viewers an update on the story of the LGBTQ+ community living in San Francisco.

“I wasn’t actually. I feel sort of like.. I felt a little bit bad when I found out because it’s such a cult classic,” Zosia told Seth. “Armistead’s books are so important and incredible, but I was just so excited when I heard about it for the first time. I ate the books up, there’s nine of them so obviously I’m a nerd.”

“It was this huge cult classic in the ’90′s and I think they’ve been wanting to put it together since then. All the chips just fell as they did,” Zosia continued about Tales of the City.
