Padma Lakshmi Gets First Solo Cooking Show on Hulu

Padma Lakshmi is getting her own cooking show!

The 48-year-old cookbook author and television personality, who has hosted Top Chef since 2006, will head to Hulu for her first solo food venture, according to THR.

The half-hour, 10-episode series will start start each show with a dish that “that represents and connects to a community’s history and traditions, and explores the evolution of that immigrant community through that cuisine.”

Food will range from “family recipes and street food to high-end restaurants” and will give viewers a “window into where communities came from and the tale of how they set roots in America.”

The show will be a part of Hulu Kitchen, the streaming service’s new food-focused vertical.
