Richard Gere's Apple Series 'Bastards' Scrapped

Richard Gere‘s Apple TV+ series Bastards has been scrapped by the new streaming service.

The 70-year-old actor was supposed to star as “one of two elderly Vietnam vets and best friends who find their monotonous lives upended when a woman they both loved 50 years ago is killed by a car. Their lifelong regrets and secrets collide with their resentment of today’s self-absorbed millennials and the duo then go on a shooting spree,” according to THR.

The series was originally given an eight-episode, straight-to-series order.

Be sure to watch the trailer for Apple’s first series that will be debuting (with an all-star cast, too!)
