Tracee Ellis Ross Says Story of 'mixed-ish' Is About 'Fish Out of Water'!

Tracee Ellis Ross keeps it chic and casual while making her way inside The Daily Show with Trevor Noah studios on Thursday (September 5) in New York City.

The Golden Globe-winning actress talked about the upcoming Black-ish spin-off series, mixed-ish, which she executive produced.

“I think the things we go through as human beings can be really funny. mixed-ish is the story of how I came to be as Rainbow Johnson, but it’s the story of a fish out of water, which all of us experience in many different ways,” Tracee expressed.

“I think the beauty of it is that when you’re telling a mixed story is that you have these two different experiences, two different heritages, two different worlds,” Tracee continued. “How do you within that world define yourself? I think a lot of us experience that weather you have two different races or heritages that you come from – but when you feel other than.”

Tracee Ellis Ross also talked about the launch of her hair care brand, Pattern Beauty, which she also promoted on Good Morning America that same morning.
