Elton John Slams Madonna, Says She Was 'Nasty' & 'Ungracious' Towards Lady Gaga

Elton John is slamming Madonna in his new memoir “Me,” and it’s all about what went down between Lady Gaga and Madonna.

If you don’t know, it all started when critics claimed that Gaga‘s “Born This Way” sounded a lot like Madonna‘s “Express Yourself,” to which Gaga dismissed and responded to the claims herself.

Elton John wrote that he “couldn’t see why [Madonna] was so ungracious and nasty about it — particularly when she claims to be a champion for women,” he wrote, noting that the songs “definitely sounded familiar.”

“I think it’s just wrong — an established artist shouldn’t kick down a younger artist right at the start of their career,” Elton added.
