USA Debuts Trailer for New Series 'Dare Me,' Set in the World of High School Cheerleading

The new USA Network series Dare Me, which is set in the cutthroat world of competitive high school cheerleading, will debut next month and the first trailer was just released!

Dare Me is based on the acclaimed novel by Megan Abbott and it follows the fraught relationship between two best friends (Herizen Guardiola and Marlo Kelly) after a new coach (Willa Fitzgerald) arrives to bring their team to prominence. While the girls’ friendship is put to the test, their young lives are changed forever when a shocking crime rocks their quiet rust belt town.

Part coming-of-age story, part sport drama, part murder mystery, Dare Me exposes the physical and psychological extremes that some young women are willing to endure in order to get ahead.

Willa starred in the MTV series Scream and most recently appeared in the movie The Goldfinch. You might remember Herizen from her Netflix series The Get Down and Marlo is an Aussie actress who has appeared on Home and Away.

Also starring in Dare Me are Paul Fitzgerald, Zach Roerig, Rob Heaps, and Alison Thornton. The new series, produced by Universal Cable Productions, premieres on USA on Sunday, December 29 at 10/9c.
