Awards Screeners for Kristen Stewart's 'Seberg' Were Loaded with the Wrong Movie
Kristen Stewart‘s chances at landing awards nominations for her movie Seberg were seemingly hurt after a major error reportedly happened.
The DVD screeners that voters received for the movie reportedly played the wrong movie, according to THR‘s Scott Feinberg.
Scott reported that three awards voters for the Academy Awards and the BAFTAs told him “that they popped in their Seberg screener only to have it play The Report.”
Seberg and The Report are both movies being released by Amazon Studios. While The Report is currently streaming on Amazon Prime, Seberg can only be seen in select movie theaters at this time.
I have now heard from three awards voters — Academy and BAFTA — that they popped in their SEBERG screener only to have it play THE REPORT. Presumably this is just the tip of the iceberg, as far as a big f-up by the shipping house.
