Sarah Paulson Talks 'Impeachment' Series & Why She Won't Share Her Personal Opinions

Sarah Paulson steps out while attending the FX panel during the 2020 Winter TCA Tour on Thursday (January 9) at The Langham Hotel in Pasadena, Calif.

The Emmy-winning actress has many projects on the way with the network, including the new series Miss America, the upcoming 10th season of American Horror Story, and the new American Crime Story: Impeachment series.

Sarah will be playing Linda Tripp, the woman who exposed her colleague Monica Lewinsky‘s affair with former President Bill Clinton.

“Having Monica around, further implements the feeling and the need to get it as accurately told as possible,” Sarah said at the panel (via Deadline). Monica is an executive producer on the upcoming series from Ryan Murphy and his team.

Sarah has listened to phone calls between Tripp and Lewinsky, but doesn’t want to share her own opinions on them.

“The more you know about my more personal feelings about it, the more challenging it’s going to allow you guys to watch it in a way that is open and available and my personal stake is left out of it. I’m just trying my best to honor the character to tell this story. Not to do necessarily right by Linda, although, of course I want to do it. Given some of her actions in this story, what’s most important to me is that I get it right so that the whole story can be told as accurately and wholesomely as possible,” she said.
