Dwayne Johnson to Star in NBC Comedy Series 'Young Rock'

Dwayne Johnson is heading back to television for the upcoming NBC comedy series Young Rock!

The 47-year-old actor, who most recently starred in the HBO series Ballers, will star in the new series inspired by his life.

The comedy series is being co-written by former Fresh Off the Boat showrunner Nahnatchka Khan and her longtime collaborator Jeff Chiang. They will executive produce alongside Dwayne and his team at Seven Bucks Productions.

Young Rock has been given an 11-episode order and Dwayne is set to appear in all of them, according to THR.

Dwayne has previously worked with NBC on his unscripted competition series The Titan Games, which he hosted and produced.
