NBC’s new streaming service, Peacock, now has a launch date!

NBCUniversal and Comcast’s service will have an “early bird” launch on April 15 on Comcast’s Xfinity X1 and Flex video platforms ahead of its national debut on July 15, Deadline reports.

The streaming service will have three versions: free with ads (Peacock Free); a slightly upgraded version that will be free with ads for Comcast and Cox Cable subscribers, and $5 for everyone else (Peacock Premium); and no ads, which will be $5 for Comcast and Cox subscribers and $10 for everyone else.

The national launch happens just ahead of the start of the Summer Olympics in Tokyo on July 24. At this time, Comcast and Cox Cable will offer a bundled deal. Additionally, Peacock will feature extensive coverage of the Tokyo Olympics, some of it exclusive.

A press release also revealed that Peacock will be available on “popular web, mobile and connected-TV devices.”
