Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will officially give up their royal titles as part of their transition to becoming private citizens. So, what does this mean for their future?

• Harry and Meghan will no longer be working members of the Royal Family and can no longer formally represent The Queen, despite previously stating that they were interested in continuing their duty to The Queen. They “have made clear that everything they do will continue to uphold the values of Her Majesty.”
• The couple will no longer use their HRH titles, though Harry will retain his HRH status.
• Harry and Meghan wish to repay Sovereign Grant expenditure for the refurbishment of Frogmore Cottage, which will remain their UK family home. They will also pay commercial rent for their residence.
