Kenan Thompson to Host White House Correspondents' Dinner with Hasan Minhaj Set as Featured Entertainer

The White House Correspondents’ Association has announced that Kenan Thompson will host the annual dinner, with Hasan Minhaj as the featured entertainer.

“Kenan and Hasan are two of the most engaged and engaging entertainers in America. I’m thrilled they’ll help us celebrate the role of a free press in our democracy,” Jonathan Karl, chief White House correspondent for ABC News and president of the WHCA, told THR. “We’re looking forward to a lively evening honoring the most important political journalism of the past year.”

This year, it appears as if they’re going back to comedians to host the annual affair after choosing historian Ron Chernow for the 2019 dinner.

The event will be held on Saturday, April 25, and Donald Trump has not attended in the past few years. He actually slammed the event in 2017.
