Tom Steyer Drops Out of Presidential Race 2020

Tom Steyer is no longer in the running to become the next President of the United States of America.

The 62-year-old activist billionaire from California announced he was dropping out of the race on Saturday (February 29) after a disappointing finish in the South Carolina Democratic primary.

“Honestly, I can’t see a path where I can win the presidency,” Tom told supporters in South Carolina via the Washington Post. “When the Lord closes a door, he opens a window. I will find that window and crawl through with you. … This has been a great experience and I have zero regrets.”

Still in the running for the Democratic nomination are former Vice President Joe Biden, former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Senator Bernie Sanders, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Senator Amy Klobuchar, and former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg.
