Jennifer Lopez & Alex Rodriguez Are Trying to Buy the NY Mets!

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are looking into the possibility of buying the baseball team, the New York Mets.

Variety is reporting that the engaged couple are working with JPMorgan Chase to raise the capital to make a bid for the sports team. The outlet reports that they’re working with managing director Eric Menell, the bank’s co-head of North American media investment banking.

The New York Mets is currently owned by the Wilpon family and they were in talks to sell 80% of the team back in December and the sale would’ve valued the team at $2.6 billion.

Some fans might be surprised that ARod and JLo are looking to buy the Mets as they both have a connection to fellow New York team, the New York Yankees. He played for the team for the last decade of his career as a baseball player and she is from the Bronx, the home of the Yankees.

The report says that the couple’s combined net worth is about $700 million.
