Chris Pine Tapped To Star in 'The Saint' Remake

Chris Pine is in talks to star in remake of The Saint from Paramount Pictures, Deadline reports.

The 39-year-old actor would presumably take on the role of Simon Templar (aka The Saint), a thief for hire whose job is to steal the secret process for cold fusion, which puts him at odds with a traitor bent on toppling the Russian government, as well as the woman who holds its secret.

The Saint, based on a novel from Leslie Charteris inspired the 1960s TV series and 1997 movie, which starred Val Kilmer.

Dexter Fletcher will be directing the remake, with Seth Grahame-Smith penning the script.

Over the weekend, Chris was spotted out in a rare sighting with girlfriend Annabelle Wallis.
