After five years of marriage, Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy have separated and are proceeding with a divorce (amid rumors that things are becoming “very ugly” between them).

Now, an insider is speaking out about a source of the “strain” in the relationship.

“She’s super career focused and he’s very French and wanted her to be more available,” a source said of the 33-year-old fashion designer and 50-year-old banker (via People). “You can’t control a girl who has been on the billionaire track since her 20s.”

Mary-Kate has two fashion brands with her twin sister Ashley: The Row and Elizabeth and James.
