RuPaul's Drag Race Season 12 Finale Will Be Virtual, Here's How They'll Compete

The season 12 finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race is becoming a virtual episode, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The site reports that the reunion show, airing next week, and the finale, were both affected by the shutdown due to coronavirus.

However, the show will go on.

The Season 12 reunion was recorded with the 12 cast members and RuPaul as a virtual slumber party. The episode will feature conversations about life during quarantine, recaps of the season’s most shocking eliminations, and burning questions from fans.

The week afterward, Vh1 is set to air the finale, which was shot with RuPaul and the cast via virtual video using boundary-pushing technology to highlight the creativity of each queen.

During the final episode, the remaining queens — which will be revealed on tonight’s episode — will compete in a revolutionary lip-sync for the crown.

Season 11 champion Yvie Oddly and Miss Congeniality, Nina West, will also return to crown the successor with a sash and a $10,000 prize.

RuPaul’s Drag Race airs Fridays at 8/7c on Vh1.
