Who Won 'RuPaul's Drag Race' 2020? Season 12 Winner Revealed in Quarantine

The winner has been revealed for the 12th season of RuPaul’s Drag Race in a finale that was unlike any other before.

The season was already unprecedented after one contestant was disqualified due to allegations that came to light a couple months ago. The finale was unlike other finales due to the pandemic, which forced everyone to stay at home.

The final three queens – Crystal Methyd, Gigi Goode, and Jaida Essence Hall – participated in a digital lip-sync battle from their homes. The winner won the crown and the $100,000 prize.

Jaida Essence Hall!

Jaida opened up to Entertainment Tonight about winning the season.

“It does not matter where you come from, what your background is, how long you’ve been working at things and how many things you failed at, you can achieve anything,” she said. “Literally, I did not finish high school — I had to go back and get my GED — and so many things in my life told me, ‘You will not be successful.’”

She added, “But success is so many different things to many people. And I still found a way to find success in my life just by pursuing my happiness and my dreams.”
