Abby Lee Miller's Reality Series 'Abby's Virtual Dance Off' Cancelled After Her Racist Comments Were Exposed

Abby Lee Miller‘s upcoming reality series with Lifetime has been cancelled in light of her past racist comments.

The series was a 12-episode pandemic-friendly Dance Moms spin-off where the professional choreographer would feature dancers from around the country who submitted videos of their best moves, Entertainment Weekly says.

Abby’s Virtual Dance Off was set to premiere this summer, however, her past comments have sealed the show’s fate. In addition, the network will not be bringing Abby back if Dance Moms is renewed for a ninth season.

If you didn’t see, Abby apologized for her comments after being called out by Adriana Smith and her daughter, Kamryn, who starred on Dance Moms in season 8.

Adriana called Abby out and held her accountable for the racially insensitive things she said to her and Kamryn during the show.

“To Kamryn, Adriana, and anyone else I’ve hurt, I am truly sorry. I realize that racism can not just come from hate, but also from ignorance,” Abby wrote in her apology posted to Instagram. “No matter the cause, it is harmful, and it is my fault.”
