Five Arrested in Alleged Connection to Pop Smoke's Death
There’s an update in the investigation into Pop Smoke‘s death.
Five people have been arrested in alleged connection to his fatal shooting at the age of 20 in February, Los Angeles police confirmed on Thursday (July 9).
“Three adult males and two juvenile males were taken into custody, police said. No additional information was offered. A motive is not currently known, but police are expected to release more information soon,” THR reported.
The 20-year-old star, whose real name is Bashar Barakah Jackson, was killed when masked men broke into his Hollywood Hills home. He was quickly taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center but was pronounced dead.
“We are devastated by the unexpected and tragic loss of @POPSMOKE10 . Our prayers and thoughts go out to his family, friends and fans, as we mourn this loss together,” Republic Records said following the horrific news.
