Kyle Richards Says Her Family Was 'Devastated' by Paris Hilton's Sex Tape

Kyle Richards is looking back on niece Paris Hilton‘s sex tape over 15 years later.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, the 51-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star briefly discussed the 39-year-old businesswoman’s sex tape being leaked back in 2004.

Kyle is the sister of Paris‘ mom Kathy Hilton.

“When your niece Paris’ tape was leaked, did you initially think it would ruin her career or help catapult her star power?” host Andy Cohen asked.

“Ruin,” Kyle said. “We were devastated. Like my whole — it was horrible.”

Back in 2001, 19-year-old Paris filmed a sex tape with then-boyfriend Rick Salomon, which was released by an Internet company a few years later.

During the 2018 documentary The American Meme, Paris tearfully opened up about the sex tape, saying it was like “being raped.”
