Milla Jovovich's New Movie 'Monster Hunter' Release Gets Pushed Back to 2021

Sony has pushed back the release of Monster Hunter, starring Milla Jovovich.

The upcoming fantasy action movie, which was supposed to be released Labor Day Weekend on September 3, will now be released on April 23, 2021, Deadline reports.

The move comes amid the ongoing pandemic as cases are starting to surge again in many areas of the United States and movie dates are now being shifted again.

Based on the video game of the same name, Milla stars in Monster Hunter as Captain Natalie Artemis, who falls into a portal and enters a foreign planet with her team of soldiers filled with hostile monsters. There, Captain Artemis and her squad recruit Jaa’s Hunter to assist in their survival.

The movie was written and directed by her husband Paul W.S. Anderson.
