Trump Advisor Says Melania Trump Is A Modern Day Jackie Kennedy & Fans Are Not Happy About It
Jackie Kennedy Onassis is currently trending on social media right now, during the Republican National Convention.
The late former First Lady of the United States was brought up in a conversation between Peter Navarro, who was a guest on CNN with Andrea Mitchell.
Peter, an economist and Assistant to the President, compared the current First Lady, Melania Trump to Jackie.
“You know, I find her to be the Jackie Kennedy of her time,” he shared. “The beauty, the elegance, the soft-spokenness. I think she’ll deliver a powerful message to the American people.”
The comparison angered many fans of Jackie on social media, and they shared their thoughts about his comments, and even pointed out that Melania had just redesigned the garden, which housed Jackie‘s famous rose garden.
“Peter Navarro just said ‘Melania Trump is the Jackie Kennedy of our time.’ ALL. OF. THEM. ARE. BATSHIT. CRAZY,” one wrote.
Another added, “This guy just said Melania is the Jackie Kennedy of our timeFace with tears of joyFace with tears of joyFace with tears of joyFace with tears of joy. Her beauty and her grace? Give me a freaking break. She is one of the coldest, insidious First Ladies in our history. Jackie had class and Melania showed her astronaut. Jackie smiled always and Melania smug.”
Melania is set to speak at the RNC later tonight.
