'Sex & the City' Author Reveals She Went on a 'Romantic' Date with John Corbett, Who Played Aidan

The author of Sex and the City, Candace Bushnell, just dished some gossip that fans of the show might enjoy hearing! If you don’t know, Candace was “the real life Carrie Bradshaw,” played by Sarah Jessica Parker.

“I’m never gonna be Team Aidan for Carrie,” Candace said on the podcast The Bradshaw Boys. “I can’t for a variety of reasons but one of the reasons was that my mother hated Aidan.”

“I did go to dinner with John Corbett,” she added, saying that she dated the actor who played Aidan on the show! “I went out to dinner with him, it was romantic, [but] all I could think was, ‘My mother’s gonna kill me!’”
