Mariah Carey Recorded a Secret Alt-Rock Album & Fans Really Want Her To Release It

Mariah Carey spilled a little secret that her fans didn’t know about her over the weekend.

The 50-year-old singer took to social media to drop the bombshell that she actually recorded a secret alternative album at the same time she was working on Daydream.

“Fun fact: I did an alternative album while I was making Daydream,” she wrote in the caption. “Just for laughs, but it got me through some dark days.”

The song, called “Someone’s Ugly Daughter” by Chick, is apparently still up on select digital retailers.

Mariah‘s vocals were blended together with Clarissa Dane Davidson for it.

“Maybe you should release this alternative album too my kween we’d love to hear it,” one fan wrote when learning about the secret album.

Another added, “AN ALTERNATIVE ALBUM QUEEN??!!!! I know lambs are being fed at the moment but please consider release that album one day 🤯😫”

“OMG MIMI! How could you keep that secret for so long?? Lambs head exploding around the globe,” one more fan tweeted in reply.
