Golfer Bryson DeChambeau Is Feeling Sick at The Masters, Got Tested for COVID-19 on Friday Night

Bryson DeChambeau was one of the favorites while heading into The Masters this week, but his performance at the golf tournament hasn’t gone as planned.

The 27-year-old golfer previously won the 2020 U.S. Open and was expected to be one to watch, but he says he’s not feeling well.

After finishing his second round on Saturday morning (November 14), Bryson opened up to the press about feeling ill and getting a COVID-19 test on Friday night.

“I was feeling something a little weird two nights ago and I came out (Friday) and was fine for the most part,” he said (via New York Post). “As I kept going through the round (Saturday), I started getting a little dizzy. I don’t know what was going on, a little something weird.”

He continued, “I got checked for COVID (Friday) night and I was fine, nothing. But I had to do the right thing and make sure there was nothing more serious than that. So it wasn’t that. It’s no respiratory anything. It’s more of just very dizzy, and I’ve got a pain in my stomach, so I don’t know. Just some weird stuff going on. Every time I’d bend over and come back up, I’d like lose my stance a little bit. So, I don’t know what’s going on. I’ve got to go and do some blood work and get checked out and figure out what’s going on for this offseason.”

After finishing the second round, Bryson went off to begin his third round, but said he’s still feeling sick. He said, “Yeah, I’m not good unfortunately. There’s like something in my stomach that’s just not doing well.”
